Juvenile 2005. Miles Halter is a high school junior going
away to attend boarding school at Culver Creek Preparatory
School just like his father before him. He is christened
with the nickname Pudge by his roommate “The Colonel
because he is anything but being of rather slim build and
tall and The Colonel loves the draw of opposites. Miles
gets involved with secret cigarette smoking and drinking
with his new friends and pulling a revenge prank to get
back at one played on his new obsession Alaska Young and
another ingenious and funny class prank played on the
whole school. His life and that of his friends becomes
defined by the search for answers about life and death
after Alaska died in a fatal car crash. Looking for Alaska
won the Michael L. Printz Award for Excellence in Young
Adult Literature was adapted into a TV mini series by Hulu
